The Light House Recovery Center: Vikki Luna's Journey

“The Beacon of Hope”

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”   John 8:12

Providing a Permanent Path to Change and Empowerment

Vikki Luna wanted to make a difference for women. While working for the county she observed many women struggling to get on the right path. She grew frustrated when she continued to find these women right back in the same situation. The system was broken, only offering temporary help. It was a frustrating cycle and left her feeling unsatisfied.

With a heart full of compassion and desire for change, Vikki asked for guidance through prayer. She needed guidance in helping these women make a lasting impact. She decided to branch out on her own. She envisioned a home where women could find a permanent way out of the cycle and set them up for success.

The Light House Recovery Center quickly became a place of refuge and transformation for countless women.  Light House went beyond supporting their immediate needs. Vikki wanted to address the causes of their struggles by providing tools that would help them to rebuild their lives.

Vikki believed every woman deserved a chance to reclaim her life, free from the chains of addiction, abuse, and hopelessness.  Light House’s principal mission is to bring light into the lives of those who had been walking in darkness.

Comprehensive Care for Lasting Change

Vikki understood that lasting recovery required more than just the physical attributes of addiction. It required healing the mind, body, and spirit. Light House offers a range of programs designed to support women in every area of their lives, including:

  • Counseling and Therapy: Individual and group sessions focusing on emotional and psychological healing.

  • Life Skills Training: Practical workshops aimed at equipping women with the skills needed to live independently and confidently.

  • Spiritual Support: Faith-based guidance and support to nurture the spiritual well-being of the residents.

  • Health and Wellness: Programs promoting physical health, including fitness and nutritional counseling.

  • Education and Employment Assistance: Resources to help women further their education and secure stable employment.

Transforming Lives and Empowering Women

Since its inception, Light House has transformed the lives of hundreds of women. Vikki and her incredible staff are dedicated to providing a lifeline to those who need it. In turn, most of the women who graduate out of the program remain very deeply involved and are committed to lending a hand to those just beginning the journey.

The Light House Recovery Center has a success rate of 83%. An incredible testament to the dedication of all of those involved.
